To make a payment to your association account from an external source, or to transfer funds from your operating line to an external financial institution, you must add an external account.
For transfers FROM your association account to an external account, the external account must be verified through a third party called Plaid. This verification process helps protect you from fraudulent transfers. Many institutions offer instant authorization through Plaid so access to the verified external account is immediate.
To create a verified external account within My Account, select Pay & Transfer, select Manage External Accounts, and click Add a verified account.
Payments TO your association account do not require a verified account and can be added using a routing and account number.
To create a non-verified external account within My Account, select Pay & Transfer, select Manage External Accounts, and click Add an external bank account.
Note: Payments can also be made from a verified external bank account.
